Get a jump on your holiday gift giving

Good grief!  It's not even Halloween yet, and someone is giving a presentation on holiday gift giving?

Yes, indeed, "someone" is!  At noon on Thursday, Sept. 27, WWN member Chris Hansen will be doing a "show and tell" about the latest holiday products Mary Kay is offering this year. And here's the reason she would dare to talk about the holidays already – people in sales have to be ready now. To get the best products and have them available to offer for the holidays, independent beauty consultants (and people working in "brick-and-mortar" retail businesses) must place their orders for holiday product sales early. Otherwise, some holiday products may not be available by the time the salesperson decides to order them.

Chris will be discussing are a new perfume, "Live Fearlessly." This lovely fragrance has top notes of Italian Bergamot, Ginger and Lush Petals; the bottom notes are Roasted Tonka Bean, Cedarwood, Australian Sandalwood and Vanilla Musk. Middle notes are all lovely floral scents.

Many of you love our Fragrance-Free Satin Hands Hand Cream (always a good stocking stuffer).  And our full-size, three-step Satin Hands Pampering Sets are available in the Fragrance-Free or White Tea and Citrus version – these sets are lovely gifts for the gardener in your life. This year, we have a limited-edition Satin Hands Pampering Set in Pomegranate. Treat yourself to this lovely set or, again, give it to someone special.

We're also offering a limited-edition "Lash Love Mascara" (in black). Each sale of this mascara will provide a $1 donation to the Mary Kay Charitable Foundation, which supports women's shelters and survivors of abuse.

There's more to tell, but then Chris wouldn't have much more to say in her presentation.

Also, there will be a drawing (or two or three), so come prepared to win!

Tim Ballew II, 42nd District Candidate

Tim Ballew II, candidate for the 42nd District state senate seat, is our June 21 speaker.

Ballew, who was recently appointed to the at-large position of the Whatcom County Council is also a former Lummi Nation chairman. He is running against incumbent Sen. Doug Ericksen of Ferndale and Bellingham City Council member Pinky Vargas. Vargas spoke to WWN earlier this year; Ericksen’s campaign did not respond to requests to speak.

Ballew will share his platform and take questions. Guests are welcome to attend.
