Rolf Structural Integration - Is it for you? Brooke Andrews, Veritas Massage Studio

Through the course of our lives, the connective tissue in our bodies, called fascia, gradually shortens, tightens, and adjusts to accommodate misalignments that we get from injuries or just our day to day life. These misalignnments can cause pain and discomfort. SI provides relief. It improves posture and alignment. When a body is aligned, it requires less energy to function; better posture becomes natural and effortless; and you breathe better—one of the foundational functions of our body and one that has a profound impact on our well-being. Through SI’s systematic method of touch, the body nears a more structurally optimal position. This treatment layers, lengthens and realigns the fascia. As a result, your muscles are able to move more efficiently. This leads to physical, emotional and psychological changes. Come here Brooke Andrews, LMP from Veritas Massage Studio talk about Structural Integration and it's many transformative benefits

When: Thursday, September 11, 2014 – 12:00pm – 1:15pm Where: WWN weekly lunch meeting Presenter: Brooke Andrews, Veritas Massage Studio

Lizz Winstead "I'm Here For You Planned Parenthood" Tour at WWU PAC: Co-creator of The Daily Show and co-founder of Air America Radio, political satirist Lizz Winstead brings her razor-sharp wit and hilarious spin on current events, with all proceeds going to benefit Mt. Baker Planned Parenthood.

Into The Woods at the historic Mount Baker Theatre: On October 5th the Mount Baker Theatre begins a run of 6 bewitching performances of the Tony Award-winning musical classic Into the Woods. You’re invited to take part in the adventure as the Mount Baker Theatre celebrates a milestone – the first Main Stage self-produced, professional production in their 85-year history.

Boundary Bay Bewery gives back with two music, beverage, fundraising & more events: Support the Puget Sound Blood Center's marrow project and Whatcom Land Trust - eat, drink, be merry, and support our community.

Bellingham Hidden Gem: Diane Padys, Photographer

As many Whatcom county residents celebrate our community's bounty with eat local month, Diane shares a closer look at our local farms.  After visiting many growers, she has produced an enticing collection of photographs for the Sustainable Connections Mentor Farm Poster Campaign (2011).  Come join us to learn more:
