Meetings

Meetings are held weekly at lunchtime, Noon-1:15 p.m at On Rice in Fairhaven.The agenda provides time for each member and guest to introduce themselves and their business. Time is set aside for announcements and discussion of business referrals. A longer 10-minute presentation is set aside for our featured speaker.Mission
The mission of Whatcom Women’s Network is to advance the business and personal success of local professionals through weekly meetings that combine a social atmosphere with networking, business promotion, and quality member-to-member referrals.We strive to serve our community by growing local businesses, supporting local charities, and fostering a network of relationships one person at a time.Whatcom Women’s Network Officers

Members Speaker’s Schedule:
Please remember that we are scheduled in alphabetical order by last name and it is your responsibility to prepared to speak as scheduled.If you must be absent, it is your responsibility to switch with another speaker. If you are not able to switch, your next opportunity to speak will be in our next rotation or when there is a chance to substitute with someone else.Please inform the director or secretary of any substitutions or absences.Special guest speakers may be invited and our schedule altered with group approval in advance.

Meeting Agenda

12:00 Noon to 1:15 p.m.

Introduction (2 minutes per person):
Each member may provide an Industry Update in addition to any new and exciting information regarding her business.

Featured Speaker (10 minutes)
The Featured member gives a presentation on a business related topic. This item is designed to educate members on the various day-to-day operations, updates and developments in the member’s industry. These presentations will provide the group with the necessary information to develop good business referrals.

Business-2-Business (1 minute per person)
Members provide business referrals to other members along with thanks for business received.

Talk of the Town (10 minutes total)
Members share local BUSINESS news that may affect our community. Members may also offer general “tips” for increasing business success.

Recap (30 seconds per person)
Each member to recap her business and summarize the “ideal” referral.
