When you need financial & tax law advice, you use the services of a Certified Public Accountant. If you need a hair cut, you go to a licensed hair stylist; for a massage, to a licensed massage therapist. When you need to buy or sell real estate, consult a licensed Realtor.

Through the course of our lives, the connective tissue in our bodies, called fascia, gradually shortens, tightens, and adjusts to accommodate misalignments that we get from injuries or just our day to day life. These misalignnments can cause pain and discomfort. SI provides relief. It improves posture and alignment. When a body is aligned, it requires less energy to function; better posture becomes natural and effortless; and you breathe better—one of the foundational functions of our body and one that has a profound impact on our well-being. Through SI’s systematic method of touch, the body nears a more structurally optimal position. This treatment layers, lengthens and realigns the fascia. As a result, your muscles are able to move more efficiently. This leads to physical, emotional and psychological changes.

Come here Brooke Andrews, LMP from Veritas Massage Studio talk about Structural Integration and it’s many transformative benefits

Functional movements are movements based on real-world situations,  every day life.  Most of the time we don’t think about how we move in any given situation – picking up our groceries, laundry, going down the stairs, cutting vegetables – we just do it.

With increased awareness and the right technique, we elevate our movements from inefficient with a high potential for injury to moving with ease and strength.

At LiveFit we take  a holistic approach to health that combines functional fitness – having the strength to carry your groceries or participate in your favorite sport  – with the nutritional know-how to fuel your life.  Whether you want to jump start your workout by trying something new or just want to feel better through fitness and clean eating, LiveFit can help.

From time to time WWN members tell their personal stories of how they chose their careers and developed their businesses. This week Sara Geballe of Memoir Crafters will share her professional journey which includes growing up in the Bronx, living in France, earning a Masters degree in Genetics, learning American Sign Language, editing a newspaper, and much more. She’ll explain about how her twin passions for writing and communicating are the common threads that have guided her along her path – which has not always been a straight line – and led her to creating Memoir Crafters.

Memoir Crafters
Every life is worth preserving for loved ones and future generations. Many people plan to write their memoirs, but find it hard to carve out the necessary time, or find it’s a much bigger job than they anticipated. Sadly, many stories never get written and are lost. As a personal historian, Sara Geballe of Memoir Crafters handles all the daunting and overwhelming aspects of writing your story. Clients simply sit down and engage in a series of conversations with her. From those recorded interviews Sara composes a first person manuscript using the client’s own words. Add to that manuscript the cherished photographs that make a the story jump off the page become transformed into a lovely, heirloom-quality book.
