From time to time WWN members tell their personal stories of how they chose their careers and developed their businesses. This week Sara Geballe of Memoir Crafters will share her professional journey which includes growing up in the Bronx, living in France, earning a Masters degree in Genetics, learning American Sign Language, editing a newspaper, and much more. She’ll explain about how her twin passions for writing and communicating are the common threads that have guided her along her path – which has not always been a straight line – and led her to creating Memoir Crafters.

Memoir Crafters
Every life is worth preserving for loved ones and future generations. Many people plan to write their memoirs, but find it hard to carve out the necessary time, or find it’s a much bigger job than they anticipated. Sadly, many stories never get written and are lost. As a personal historian, Sara Geballe of Memoir Crafters handles all the daunting and overwhelming aspects of writing your story. Clients simply sit down and engage in a series of conversations with her. From those recorded interviews Sara composes a first person manuscript using the client’s own words. Add to that manuscript the cherished photographs that make a the story jump off the page become transformed into a lovely, heirloom-quality book.

Summer is on its way!  Of course, we have to get through Spring first, but that doesn’t mean we can’t be prepared for those longer — and sunnier — days.

Chris decided to go through the latest Mary Kay “Look Book” to find out just how many products have “Sunscreen Broad Spectrum” or “SPF” properties.  Unless she missed some products, there appear to be about nine sun-protection products.  From a couple of Mary Kay’s original TimeWise® products (one moisturizer and one under-foundation protector) to today’s latest product — CC Cream — Mary Kay has been finding more and better ways for us to protect our skin from harmful UVA/UVB rays.  Of course, there are a couple Mary Kay® Sun Care sunscreens, too!

So come to hear Chris tell about the various ways we can protect our skin when we’re out in the sun.  It is important for each of us to do so — it’s the only skin we’ll have.

As always, there will be a few prize drawings!

Far Infrared Light has many therapeutic benefits.  Come not only hear about the benefits, but get to experience a TDP Far Infrared Light.  Infrared is not visible to our eyes, but we do experience as heat.  It is that comforting warm feeling of sunshine, however it’s not to be confused with the more harmful ultraviolet light.  Our bodies have a high capacity to absorb the healing energy of far infrared and there are conditions, especially soft tissue damage, that greatly respond to this therapy.
